IT Systems Engineer

We are looking for an IT Support all-rounder to get very hands on across a lot of different technologies and systems. With a broad technical background and experience of providing helpdesk, network, desktop and server support, you will be working alongside the IT Manager to deliver reliable IT services.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Be the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day support requests, logging requests into support-desk software
  • Installing, configuring and supporting computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, phones, etc.
  • Managing AD & Office 365 accounts
  • Deployment / Management of End Point Protection
  • Supporting small and wide format copy / scan / print
  • Maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Supporting Server infrastructure and line-of-business applications.
  • Review and respond to Event and security logs.

We are looking for an individual who possesses the ability to prioritise efficiently and manage tasks effectively, who can solve problems and who are friendly and approachable with good communication skills.

Essential skills/experience/qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a customer focused Helpdesk, Desktop and Server Support role
  • Knowledge of Windows desktop & server operating systems
  • Networking support
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Office 365 deployment & maintenance
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security requirements and implementation

Desirable skills/experience/qualifications:

  • Azure Active Directory, Exchange, MS Teams & SharePoint Management
  • Firewalls, Watchguard XTM UTM's
  • Knowledge of Virtualised server infrastructure
  • MCP Server Certifications or appropriate qualification / experience
  • UK Security Clearance
