Darryl Horn receives the SPIRIT award for September 2021

Date: 30 Nov 2021

We are delighted to announce that Darryl Horn was selected by the Works Council for the Centronic SPIRIT Award for September 2021!

Darryl was chosen to receive the award for his sustained and ongoing work over the past year and a half to keep us safe and well informed during the pandemic. Darryl has shown commitment beyond what is normally part of his role by researching, interpreting, implementing and sharing good quality and trustable information about COVID and the coronavirus. This has been particularly valuable when there have been so many conflicting opinions and pieces of inaccurate information circulating in the media.

Darryl has worked collaboratively to ensure that he collected diverse views and opinions before distilling these into an agreed decision, timely action and clear communications. Darryl’s curiosity and drive to find reliable information coupled with his willingness to follow evidence and help other people change their view when the evidence changes has helped to keep us all safe, well and pulling in the same direction.

Darryl’s commitment to doing the right thing for the company and its staff gave me confidence that when we recommended courses of action to Neil we were doing this on the basis of diligent research and the right motives.

This reflects his commitment to our core values, specifically nominated for Teamwork, and deserves our recognition.

Well done Darryl!
